What a wonderful home from home! With fresh flowers plus tea, coffee and milk to greet us, staying at Chinley End Farm could not have been more idyllic from the outset. The facilities are first class and the apartment is even lovelier than the pictures show. We particularly enjoyed the attention to deal given to the flat (eg: well-stocked log pile for the wonderful log fire, cleaning products, loo roll, tin foil, walking guides and maps, Trivial Pursuit, torch, cafetiere etc)
We visited in a 'patchy' week, weather-wise, in January, but found there was plenty to enjoy in the immediate surrounds despite the weather. Super food, walking and 'pootling' on the doorstep and although we'd brought a car, transport links meant we could very well have done without it.
The hosts were wonderful to deal with, even given our half day delayed arrival(!) answering emails efficiently and making themselves readily available to assist us, but leaving us to get on with our holiday in undisturbed, tranquil, Derbyshire peace. We could not recommend this accommodation highly enough and hope to visit again in future.
